From founding circle to global platform

2018

Founding Circle

Twelve senior energy executives frustrated by the gap between conference networking and real deal-making founded the International Energy Club as an invitation-only collective.

2020

Digital Platform Launch

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the need for a permanent digital home. IEC launched its first web platform with verified profiles, secure messaging and a private deal room.

2022

Marketplace & AI Matchmaking

Introduced the structured marketplace (projects, assets, services, technology, tenders) and deployed AI-powered matchmaking with a compatibility score engine.

2024

5,000 Members · $800M GMV

Crossed 5,000 verified members across 60+ countries. Cumulative marketplace GMV facilitated exceeded $800 million in energy deal value.

2025

Multilingual & Global Expansion

Launched in five languages (EN, RU, ZH, AR, ES), expanded data residency compliance and began onboarding regional energy finance institutions as institutional members.
