1. Eligibility and Registration
Attendance at IEC events is restricted to verified IEC members unless an event is expressly designated as 'Open to guests'. Priority registration is available to Executive and Institutional tier members from the date of event publication. Professional and Associate tier members may register from a staggered date thereafter. Guest places (where available) are allocated by invitation from an existing member and are subject to a guest registration process.
2. Chatham House Rule
All IEC roundtables, working groups, and private sessions are conducted under the Chatham House Rule: participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed to anyone outside the session without the prior written consent of the speaker(s). This rule applies to live and recorded virtual sessions. Any breach of the Chatham House Rule may result in suspension from future events and disciplinary action under the Membership Agreement.
3. Recording and Photography
Recording (audio, video, or photography) of any IEC event is prohibited without prior written consent of IEC's Events team and the prior notification of all participants. IEC may record sessions for the purpose of providing on-demand access to registered attendees. Recordings are stored on IEC's platform and are not made publicly available without the consent of all speakers. Speaker consent forms are obtained prior to each recorded session. Any recording made in breach of this policy must be deleted immediately upon request.
4. Code of Conduct at Events
All participants are expected to engage professionally and respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, aggressive behaviour, intoxication, or any conduct that disrupts the event or makes other participants feel unsafe will result in immediate removal from the event and may result in suspension of membership. IEC's Events team has authority to remove any participant whose behaviour is inconsistent with IEC's values. Incidents should be reported to events@internationalenergyclub.org.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Event cancellations and refund entitlements are governed by the Refund Policy. Where an in-person event is converted to a virtual format due to force majeure (including public health emergencies, venue inaccessibility, or regulatory restrictions), ticket holders will be offered the option to participate virtually, receive a credit, or receive a refund of any in-person supplement paid.
